Key Holder

The Key Holder is a member of the staff and assumes the duties of a normal associate while providing support to the management team by completing daily operational tasks including opening and closing the store and supporting a strong selling environment.

The Key Holder is responsible for monitoring adherence to company policy and supervision of staff during the absence of management, while maintaining accountability of company assets.  Key Holders partner with store management to understand daily/weekly/monthly store priorities and assist in completing tasks and assigning projects to Sales Associates.  The Key Holder will effectively assist in managing store operations, ensuring consistency and compliance.  Key Holders may be required to provide training for new Sales Associates from time to time.

Essential functions
  • Assists management in responsibility for the store
  • Must be well versed in all functions of the Sales Associate position
  • Supports a great customer experience
  • Opens and closes the store per company guidelines
  • Consistently creates a welcoming environment for the customer by greeting and assisting; as well as quickly responding to customer inquiries and needs
  • Demonstrates desired behaviors for staff including driving sales, handling difficult and/or complicated sales, complaints, cash management, inventory, and follow-up with customers
  • Supervises Sales Associates in absence of Store Manager and Assistant Manager
  • Supervises sales floor ensuring key selling zones are covered
  • Assists management with providing a strong leadership presence and control in store, while ensuring that sales associates take meals and breaks in compliance with H&H policy
  • Communicates store priorities as determined by store management and delegates tasks to Sales Associates accordingly
  • Ability to stay focused during busy times and delegate tasks to employees to keep business running smoothly
  • Receives/answers emails and processes online tattoo deposits 
  • Regularly communicates with management to discuss strengths, opportunities, and trends in business
  • Assists management in delivering consistent, in the moment, feedback and coaching
  • Ensures company standards are met for store and associate appearance at all times
  • Receives / Processes vendor deliveries and stocks sales floor in a timely manner
  • Responsible for refilling inventory and office/tattoo supply stock levels and reordering or requesting as necessary 
  • Enforces all company policies and procedures, including health, safety, security and loss prevention
  • Protecting and defending store keys and security codes 24/7
  • Performs all duties as directed by supervisor
Qualifications
  • Education/Experience:  1-3 years experience in retail
  • Communication Skills:  Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with confidence to both employees and customers.  Possess strong written communication skills.
  • Mathematic Skills:  Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.  Ability to use a calculator and calculate percentages and ratios.  Must be able to make change in American monetary units.
  • Reasoning Ability:  Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities, while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the business.  Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision.
  • Physical Demands:  This position involves constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing and standing for at least 3 consecutive hours.  May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.  Vision abilities include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.  Involves lifting at least 30 lbs.
  • Other Skills:  Must be an excellent organizer and problem solver with strong project management skills.  Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service.
  • Work Hours:  Available to work a variety of hours, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts.  Must maintain availability that meets the needs of the business and allows for flexibility in scheduling.
